Developping emotional intelligence and skillful mental habits by learning how the mind & emotions function. We all have minds and emotions– but rarely have we get an in-depth education in how they work. The method we will use to explore the subject matter is unique in that it not only teaches through explanations from the fields of neuroscience and EI, but it emphasizes learning about the mind in a “first-person” way through a practice called mindfulness.
People are more connected than ever, especially in the corporate work environment, where “always connect” is essential to our everyday work life. With our accelerated work environments, and the increased demands on our attention in every day life, we cannot hope for the world to slow down. We can instead look to increase our inner capacity (our EI) to cope better with the environment in which we are working.
